Here is our July trip to Avila. Yes, we go there a lot! Our new quest when we go is to find restaurants that are not touristie or expensive. We found a couple this time. We found Mei's chinese in Seaside. It is a little hole in the wall place with FABULOUS chinese food! We had the seafood platter and beef chow fun. Both very fresh and good. Another place was Old Village Grill in Arroyo Grande for hamburgers and onion rings. We went to a couple of our favorites as well. Klondike Pizza for all you can eat pizza night. They come around to your table with lots of different pizza's and you can choose what you want. Also, the Seaside Cafe for breakfast. I tried their blueberry pancakes. They are homemade with tons of blueberries in and on top with frosting over the top of them. They make everything from scratch. We go there every morning for breakfast. They have the best oatmeal with mixed berries with a little custard and brown sugar. And now they know who we are....ha!
Here are some pics of our beach time. I did not realize there was sand on my lense until after taking most of the pics, but I think they are cute anyways. We saw lots of sea lions, dolphins that were swimming close to the shore and a couple whales off in the distance. I have never seen dolphins swimming by the shore before, it was pretty neat.
Me and the kids.

Little missie loved running in and out of the water.
