Yes, no more kitchen. My biggest complaint is, "why is that oven still in my kitchen!" Get rid of it already would ya!

Random Thoughts

Little man is a funny guy. He sucks his fingers and carries his tattered blankie around. He is watching monster truck videos here while wearing dad's hat.

This is Bandit our dachshund. He is shy and always turns away from the camera. Poor thing had 5 teeth pulled this week. Poor little guy also has an enlarged heart and has to have yearly chest x-rays now and soon will be on heart medication. He had a rough life before we found him, but I think he has it pretty good now. We have had him for almost 6 years. Thank goodness his breath is better after all of his dental work!

We have survived week 1 of our kitchen remodel. We are all tired and grumpy. Little missie slept 2 and 1/2 hours through all of the pounding on Friday. It is so hard on them which makes it hard on mom and dad....and now with the time change! Very bad timing. Not looking forward to adjusting to that this week as well.

This is our backyard. No windows, just holes and boards. What have we gotten ourselves into? And picking out a backsplash is hard. Of course the backsplash that I like is $37.50 a sq yard. Does not exactly fall into our budget. What to do?? What to do??

I am going to the park today....

Demo Day 2

And I am ready to move out!
This is my makeshift kitchen in the dinning room.




They tore down another wall in between the kitchen and laundry room and have expanded another wall and removed the back windows. It is happening so fast I am having a hard time keeping up!

Demo Day 1

This is the wall that will be in our new laundry room. This is the wall in back of the bathroom in the sleeping porch. I had it cleaned out and now it is a mess again.

This is the laundry room/bathroom area downstairs. They tore the wall out between the two.

This is my bathroom. They had to rip the counter out to get to the plumbing...we are down to one bathroom in the house.

We will see what tomorrow brings. I am happy that I will be going to MOPS!

We picked out our granite....

Here it is. It is hard to see, but it is in the brown family. It will look good with dark wood cabinets.


Now we have to pick out the back splash and flooring. This project has taken a lot of time and we have not started yet!
